Sweetie Pie’s is located in a beautifully restored Victorian house built around 1865, once home to the sheriff of “Hangtown” and one of the first houses on Main Street. Purchased and restored in 1991, the building was carefully returned to its original charm, with raised ceilings, refinished floors, and restored woodwork. The shop opened on November 8, 1991, fulfilling a lifelong dream of creating a welcoming space for good food, coffee, and community.

Originally offering desserts, coffee, and a small menu, Sweetie Pie’s quickly grew as customers requested more food options, eventually expanding into a full bakery and restaurant. Known for its award-winning baked goods and homemade meals made from scratch, the restaurant has consistently been voted “Best of El Dorado County.” Sweetie Pie’s remains committed to serving quality food in a warm, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
